Mark started out as a concept about how individuals make their marks on the world. In particular, it focused upon the application of a mark to skin; not just the application of paint to fingers to paint the surface, but in light of tattooing.Â
Many choose tattoos as a symbol or remembrance of some aspect of their lives. The inspiration for this, as a tattoo, came from the eagle; symbolic of our nation, the Mark of our nation.
These pieces were made by painting with hands and fingers.
These pieces were created in 2021.
They were framed in 2022.
This work was part of my Bachelor of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition: "Honour" * "Dishonour", where the exhibition focused on how to honor my nation's Veterans and Current Service Members. To learn more about the show, click on the link above, or click here.
